During his 10 years in the wine industry, Austrian-born Chemist, Karl H. Wright developed an in-depth understanding of antioxidant substances and their behaviors. In 1997, Karl began formulating products for the general consumer market and has since patented and developed technologies and antioxidant formulations for wine, nutrition and personal care companies all over the world.

Upon examination of cleansing and conditioning products for the hair, Karl discovered that many of today’s expensive and prestigious brand name hair care products are actually detrimental to hair and/or scalp health, despite their advertising claims, including the so-called “natural” products. Most of these products contain a class of detergents known as Sulfates. These include sodium lauryl, sodium laureth and ammonium lauryl sulfate. Many of these products also contain detergents and/or foam boosters, such as TEA’s, DEA’s, MEA’s and amine oxides. All of these compounds destroy the proteins they are designed to clean.

Immediately upon this discovery, Karl began to experiment with a variety of substances, measuring their impact on hair protein and overall hair and skin health. This experimentation ultimately resulted in the creation of a new and completely different line of cleansers and conditioners for the hair, one that is 40 times milder than ordinary shampoos and leaves hair beautifully clean, soft, healthy and manageable – Creo™ Care. “Creo”, which means “to create” in latin, reflects the pure creative process that brought the product to life.
